Mario Winans: Deadbeat Dad?
He’s not a gospel artist, per se, but he is the son of gospel royalty.
EURWeb.com is reporting that Janel Bennett, ex-lover to R&B Producer, Mario Winans (son of Vicki Winans) is not receiving child support for their three year old son.
Further, Bennett claims she was evicted from her home in Miami because of the lack of child support. She told the New York Post she is living with friends on the South Side of Chicago, where she currently works as a cocktail waitress.
In 2005, the Miami Herald reported, “A DNA test shows a 99.99% probability that Mario Winans is the biological parent.” Documents filed in Miami-Dade, Florida court last January stated, “Mario Winans is obligated to pay Janel Bennett $4,500 per month due on the first of each month as child support.”
Bennett claims to have had to get on welfare and Medicaid in order to have the baby. She claims that after telling Mario she was pregnant, he disappeared from her life. Friends of Mario Winans confirmed to Page Six that his current girlfriend Joy and mother to his toddler daughter Sklyar, is known publicly as his “wife.” Janel says she lives in a 16-bedroom mansion and her son doesn’t have boots to wear in the winter.
She claims Winans has only seen his son once.
Bennett says she met Mario Winans in 1997 through a mutual friend, Sean “Diddy” Combs where Janel worked as Combs’ Sean Jean fashion consultant. She said Winans was sending child support up until last
year.
Mario Winans’ reps at Czar Entertainment and his lawyers had “no comment.”

Obvously the man slipped up. He should not be taken for a fool though. sounds like a little sneaky woman and he should pay child support NOT ADULT SUPPORT. mario, stay away from these kinds of women they will bring you down, walkall over you, take your money, your seed and leave!
simply not true Mario is a very good father to his 3 kids and puts his family first. People dont believe everything you read. The devil is a liar!
His mother is a loving a devoted grandmother as well. I know them personally. If there is a conflict in this particular situation… there is a reason for it! Two sides to every story.
